DREAMS -

TREACHOUS THINGS MY EYES HAVE SEEN.

BLOOD SPILLED FROM THE DEAD

AND FROM MANY FAMILIES TEARS ARE SHED.

THESE VISIONS ARE WITHIN MY DREAMS.

DREAMS OF WAR AMONG OUR

YOUNG GENERATION

THAT’S NOT RICH AND NOT POOR,

NEEDED IS THE FAITH TO WITHSTAND THE TEST OF TIME.

NEEDED IS GOD TO EASE THEIR MIND.

PAIN SO DEEP, SOMETIMES I CAN’T SLEEP.

THE MADNESS WILL IT EVER END?

WILL WE EVER BECOME FRIENDS AMONG FRIENDS?

TREACHEROUS THINGS MY EYES HAVE SEEN,

BUT NOT ONLY WITH MY DREAMS !

WHO AM I -

WHO AM I: Black Pearl

The color of my skin.

The being within.

My honor, My respect, My pride.

WHO AM I?

I am a woman

I stand bold and as hard as any man.

I fight for myself,

for my name be it odd, it may never be spoken,

it may never be seen in any book,

but you’ll know me.

You’ll remember my name

from only a quick look.

Soft as Silk, smooth as Carmel

my body from within

and the color of my skin.

Love me. Be loved by me.

Rare and precious I might be.

Black Pearl, is who I am.

Black Pearl, is who I wanna be.

Unique within,

desired by many

but loved by few.

Black Pearl,

BOLD and BEAUTIFUL

a wonderful statement

I shall and will always make.

WHO AM I?

I am SAMINA

A black woman full of pride,

So, STEP ASIDE!
